When in Vietnam I cut hair because it was something that needed to be done and I could do it.  Had to do it early in the day because the above-ground piping got the water pretty hot by midday, but most of the time I was working nights, so that worked out OK.

Well, I’ve said before that if we were ever able to take a large broom and sweep the incumbents en masse out of Washington I’d leave Bill Posey there.  It is a rare day that I disagree with his votes, and I review them regularly.

Recently, outgoing Secretary of Defense Robert Gates laid into many NATO members while praising a few others.  Here is part of the best article I’ve read on the subject, and I have read many.  And if you don’t think our membership in the NATO alliance is worthy of note, you are trillions of dollars and thousands of lives off the mark.  Our NATO membership is tremendously important, not necessarily in either a good or bad way, depending on your viewpoint, but important and of major impact nevertheless.

So, Delta is in PR hot water for charging soldiers returning from Afghanistan for their 4th bag of luggage, something they were not prepared to pay because first, they understandably didn’t have that much cash ($200), and second, who needs a credit card in a war zone?
