Standing Post With Jesus, by C.D.M.
The wind howls as the sun begins to fade
As night takes form in the land of no shade.
My body trembles when it hears the screams
Of the dead who were murdered by men with wicked dreams.In this moment I bow my head and pray,
“Thank you Lord Jesus for this wonderful day.”
As the night turns black and burns like Satan’s hole,
I know no fear, for Jesus owns my soul.My soul is like freedom;
It was paid for in blood
By a man who was pure
who taught us only to love.Then I stand my post,
For there is nothing to fear.
I can stand the next few hours,
because my Lord Jesus is here.
