Hey, don’t blame me — I didn’t say it, and I don’t think it, but according to the University of Delaware, that is exactly the fact. I must say this is probably the most extreme liberal view I’ve come across in a long time.

Veterans Day, 2007
By the President of the United States of America
A Proclamation
Throughout our history, America has been protected by patriots who cherished liberty and made great sacrifices to advance the cause of freedom. The brave members of the United States Armed Forces have answered the call to serve our Nation, ready to give all for their country. On Veterans Day, we honor these extraordinary Americans for their service and sacrifice, and we pay tribute to the legacy of freedom and peace that they have given our great Nation.

Officials at a U.K. high school were aghast after a stripper visited a student during class and whipped him in front of other students and a horrified teacher, Sky News reported Thursday.
A booking error is to blame after a mother arranged to send a “gorilla gram” to her son on his 16th birthday, an arrangement she cleared with Nottingham’s Arnold Hill School and Technology College. Instead, the agency sent a stripper clad in a policewoman costume, Sky reported.

November has always been an interesting month to me. Seasonal changes seem to accelerate and nature tends to show a very different side of life.
It is also a month of two events that perhaps should be more related — Veterans Day and Thanksgiving Day. All too few fail to recognize the former, while almost everyone recognizes the latter, in one way or another.
≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡≡
For Thanksgiving Day, government offices close; businesses large and small close, often for several days; many workers take several days off and are charged for only a few. Food donation programs have been in full swing for months and kitchens are geared up to serve those in need at a pace rarely seen at any other time of the year.

Alan’s comments regarding his “Animator vs. Animation” are below and the link follows his comments. Give it a try.
Artist’s Comments
An animator faces his own animation in deadly combat. The battlefield? The Flash interface itself.
A stick figure is created by an animator with the intent to torture. The stick figure drawn by the animator will be using everything he can find - the brush tool, the eraser tool - to get back at his tormentor. It’s resourcefulness versus power. Who will win? You can find out yourself.
– This took three long months.. i think it’s worth it.

Remember the stories of people who heard voices or music through the metal fillings in their teeth?
I never knew if they were to believed or not, but in this day and age, well, maybe the chances are greater.
I found a site almost by accident, put my address into the form, and watched a listing of 849 antennas within a 7.00 mile radius of my home appear!!
Give it a shot here and see what you get. You may find it interesting to see who owns those antennas, too.
Hearing any voices yet?

Received today about our marine of the “From the Front” series:
I have a quick request for prayer. Chris was in a humvee that was blown up by an Al Quaeda IED today. He sustained a concussion and has had some bleeding out of one ear. He’s lost the hearing in that ear (which I hope is temporary). He’s already had several concussions and the doctors warned him about any more. It is a miracle that he was able to walk away. He called us just after church this morning. Please pray that he won’t have to go back to convoy duty immediately. This is the second IED explosion that he’s been in in the month that he’s been there.

When all goes well in a transaction, one pays for a product or service and receives that product or service in exchange. Not much thought is given to the many transactions in which we are involved every day because most of them go smoothly and are forgotten in the course of the day.
But what happens when something goes wrong? It is then that we note the time and trouble, the letters and phone calls, the attitudes encountered, along the path to solution. Some paths are smoother than others, but we tend to remember some more than others.
