It takes all kinds

By way of a reminder of the wide range of humankind among whom we live…

The good, the proud, the brave:

From the weekly Standard, to which I subscribe, I refer you to an on-line article that really makes me feel good.  These folks know adversity and they know recovery.  And may I remind you, they are volunteers.  I’d be proud to stand with them any day.

Then there is the darker side of life. There are several blogs I read every day.  In fact, there are three or four that I hit several times a day in hopes of finding another post. Ambulance Driver is one of those several-times-a-day blogs for me.  His writing talent is superb and that always serves well in getting me into the story; he has so many of them.

The medical and law enforcement communities get to see humanity at its worst.  They see the side most of us see only from afar, and thankfully so.  The images they carry are those I don’t believe I could live with — they are a different folk.

But they are also human and two blogs, those of LawDog and Ambulance Driver, give an excellent view over the fence.  Sometimes I find that view hard to take.

Ambulance Driver gives a glimpse in the following link that I found very hard to handle, but I think we sometimes need to be reminded of that other side of humanity.  AD’s talent for writing makes that view vivid, frightening, real, and moving.

For a view of the other side, read HERE.
