Slumber and “the peaceful religion”

I don’t remember where it was that I read or heard that the events of 9/11 were “a wakeup call.”

I do remember, however, hearing and reading a lot about Islam being a peaceful religion.

I also remember, and still hear today the many calls by politicians, supposedly our country’s leadership, and the leaders of other supposedly enlightened countries, for us to sit down and discuss, to find common ground, to understand one another, and to do all those wonderful politically correct things.

As Col. Sherman T. Potter said, HORSE HOCKEY!

Before you do all those things, get a copy of War Crimes, by Lt. Col. Robert Patterson.  Read it and then ask yourself if maybe we are headed down the wrong road a full gallop.  Of all the books I’ve read lately, this is absolutely the best I’ve seen.  Beg it, buy it, or borrow it, but GET IT.  (Sorry, my copy is headed for the same destination most of my books go.)

Oh, and that supposed wake-up call we got on 9/11?  Well, our leadership must have been hitting the snooze alarm a hell of a lot before then.  On the other hand, isn’t it our job to rattle their cages, too?

For a list of snooze button presses, click here (Adobe reader required), and READ THE BOOK!
